We are a 10 man guild,
We focus only on 10 man raids.

What's most underlined important is our commitment to each other. When we say we are a tight knit guild of friends, we don't say it to just be saying like so many other different guilds.

If you are applying to be a core raider, you should understand what we mean by it.

ATTENDANCE:

A Core Raider member will always take priority for limited spots. All members are expected to check and be aware of the guild Message of the Day regularly. Members should ensure that they do NOT pug guild reserved raids (as indicated in MOTD and Guild Information tab).

We do not substitute or rotate raid spots. We are all here for one purpose alone. 3 nights of progression and killing shit together, as 1 unit. 1 ten man force. 1 group of family and friends to enjoy each others company while doing what we are all here to do.

Because of that, we expect every Core Raider who joins us to honor each other as not only a guild mate, but a personal friend, and not to leave each other high and dry by tardiness, or absence on any given raid night.

Of course there are circumstances that may prevent someone from raiding any given night. There are things that happen in real life that cannot be avoided. With reasonable notification we can forgive missing a single raid night to the unavoidable. But the reason must be valid. Not feeling up to raiding, or made plans with friends, etc are not good reasons. You've already made plans with us first. Please remember that and respect everyone by honoring that commitment.
Members who cannot make any raid must post on the Raid Attendance forums

Much as we do not want to be draconian about punctuality, we firmly believe that every member is more than just a 'Fellow Raider', but also as a friend. Be punctual (Read: 15 minutes early) for raids, and we will be punctual in calling the raid. It's not nice to keep 9+ other friends waiting on you, or standing them up. Frequent, unannounced lateness will also result in demotion / gkick.

3 hours a night. 3 nights a week. That's all that is asked.

PLAYER CONDUCT:

We are all adults here. But we are also here to have fun. If shooting the shit with your fellow guild mates entail friendly ragging, bantering, etc, please be mindful that you have established that sort of relationship with that person.

Also, you must keep a good sense of humor while in this guild. If we rag you for something, you must factor in what context. We are not here to make you feel bad. If someone says something to you it's most likely in jest. If someone says something that rubs you the wrong way, slap them in the head, then give each other a hug, and let the laughs continue. We are not brothers and sisters bound by blood. We are brothers and sisters by choice. We are not forced to love one another, we chose that. So again, be mindful that we are all here to have fun. If this is not the kind of fun you are not use too, or not wanting, this may not be the guild for you.

This guideline also applies on representing yourself to the outer community. If you're with a group sharing laughs with adult humor, then great! WHY DIDN'T I GET AN INVITE? But please remember to respect those that may not share the same type of sense of humor.

People from the outside community should look at us as a fun bunch of people to hang out with and to share some good laughs. Not as a guild of dickheads.

SELF ACCOUNTABILITY AND SELF RELIANCE:

Although we find each other as friends. We do not have room in our core for bad players. You may very well be a nice person, and we'd most surely would like to be your friend. But when it comes to raiding and our progression, we only invite skillful players that will be able to accommodate what our guild needs. If you are in our core, that means we think you are skillful and committed. But that does not mean you can slack off and feel like your position is 100% secure. Laziness and continued growth of lack of awareness will not be tolerated in our core team. It is up to you to know your class, your role, and what is expected of you in each encounter. You must first rely on yourself. However, everyone has their moments. These moments are what your friends are for here in the guild, and we will surely and most willingly help you get you straightened out. But don't take advantage of that, because everyone here is not here to hold your hand through everything.

We expect all raiders to have read up on strategies for fights, watched PTR videos, getting a decent idea of what will go on. Even as strategies might be rehashed / brief (for newer fights, especially), all raiders should never be caught completely oblivious to the fight mechanics. While we try our best to maintain our own resource / keeping current strategies posted, raiders should also do their part by researching the fights.

Most of our raiders hold jobs, have real-life commitments. We all see this game as a hobby, something that we take time out of our real lives to commit ourselves to. We expect our members (unless otherwise informed) do the same and keep that 3+ hours free on raid nights, with the minimal of interruptions. Urgent matters that have to be attended to, we understand and can compromise, but otherwise constant/unwarranted AFKs, Toilet Breaks, Smoke Breaks, being on the phone, etc. will be held against you.

We understand that these are real people behind their screens playing the game, and every human has their measure of endurance - the raid leader / officer will do his / her best to ensure that everyone gets ample time to hit the loo, take a smoke in order to better focus.

We try to eliminate your work and spending load with sharing our guild bank with all Core raiders. Guild repairs are always on for you. We try to keep flasks and enchanting mats stocked etc. However, we cannot expect to have everything available at all times. Gbank gold is not withdrawn at a whim. In these cases, you will have to supply yourself. So even though there are items available in gbank, you must ensure that you keep your own supply as well just in case the gbank has been depleted of said item.

YOU HAVE A VOICE!:

Our GM and officers are here to assist you and the raid to try to make progression smooth as possible. But just because we lead the guild in ways so you don't have to, when it comes to progression, everyone has a voice and everyone is expected to help kill X boss. You cannot expect the raid leader, or GM, or officers to always notice something right away. If you notice something that you deem important, voice it. If you feel the need to be discreet, /whisper the raid leader, GM, or any officer you feel comfortable telling. Your silence may very well cost us precious progression time!

LISTENING TO WHAT IS SAID, NOT HEARING WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR:

If we find something that you may be doing wrong or need improvement on, please take it for what it is. We are just trying to help you succeed because it will help us succeed. We do not want to brand you a failure, because it only makes us a failure. If we felt that you were not a good player, we wouldn't of made you a core raider. And if we felt that you were no longer core material, we would tell you straight up we're going to have to replace you. Now if you consistently screw up, or don't get better with enough practice, then and only then should you worry. But if we are on a progression boss and getting our practice in, you will need to be open to all suggestions from your fellow raiders. We all want to kill the boss as much as you do. And any feedback to help get us to that goal should be welcomed at all times.

VENT CHATTER & CHAT SPAM:

When it comes to progression, vent chatter should be at a minimal. When the person on the mic is talking about our strat or what we need to change, nobody else should be on the mic talking about something else completely irrelevant. During down times or trash is completely acceptable to chat and socialize as long as it doesn't interfere with getting shit done as quick as possible.

As for linking meters, there will be a live parse from World of Logs going on every raid night for your viewing pleasure. If you would like a quick meter check, ask someone to whisper it to you or preferably have one of your own! Any form of macro spam, parse linking, etc should be avoided if a LOOT ROLL has been initiated.

LESS RECOVERY, MORE KILLING:

It's very easy to get drawn into random discussion during wipes. However, it should not impede your recovery time. If we have wiped, which expect it during progression, you need to rez faster, or release and get back asap. Buff the raid, eat your food, etc, get everything ready as quick as possible for next pull. There should be no standing around when we can be killing. During wipes, raid leader or officers may speak about what happened and what we need to tweak etc. Remember, Silence is Golden during these times. Let your raid leaders work it out unless you have something to add.

PROFESSIONS

Professions give you an edge in raiding. While we understand that some people use their Gathering Professions as a source of income, we strongly encourage our raiders to pick professions that are definitely more raid-worthy.

We expect our raiders to pick professions that benefit them raid-wise as much as possible. While we can tolerate one gathering profession as a source of income if it contains a bonus that is viable for your role, anything above that will disqualify you from your raid spot.

It is also widely known that certain professions are more beneficial than others (i.e. Inscription vs Jewelcrafting / Blacksmithing), and we encourage raiders to pick professions that best benefit them.

If you have any additional questions that are not specified above, or anything you may not immediately understand. Feel free to ask any current core raider or officer.
